Ballpark Broadcasting’s Scorecard for the 2018 WBSC Jr. Men’s World Championship at Prince Albert, Sasketchewan

We are pleased to share the Scorecard specially created for use by the Ballpark Broadcasting crew at the 2018 WBSC Jr. Men’s World Championship at Prince Albert, Sasketchewan, courtesy of Lou Spirito, designer extraordinaire, and founder of the “THIRTY81 PROJECT“

THIRTY81 is an ongoing design study focused on the ballparks of Major League Baseball, highlighting and celebrating the qualities that make each venue unique.

The editor is the proud owner of a litho copy of Spirito’s baseball park themed poster, “One Game, Many Dimensions”

The scorecard includes a list of the 13 teams competing in the 2018 WBSC Jr. Men’s World Championship at Prince Albert, Sasketchewan, along with their pool and world ranking.  It also includes a graphic of Rotary Diamond, the main field in use at Prime Minister’s Park at Prince Albert.

Download it, share it with friends and keep score along with the broadcasting crew for the tournament, Ballpark Broadcasting.

For scorekeeping afficiandos (I’m talking to you, Jim Williamson), see the complete line of scorecards created by Lou Spirito/Thirty81 Project for Major League Baseball.  A specially created scorecard for each and every major league team, complete with the graphic of their home ballpark.

Says Jim Flanagan, founder of Ballpark Broadcasting:

“We are very lucky to have Thirty81 create a scorecard specially for our use at the 2018 WBSC Jr. Men’s World Championship at Prince Albert.  I discovered Lou’s work while planning for a ballpark trip, and found him right in my backyard in the Long Beach area.   He was both generous and gracious in responding to my request for a Scorecard of our own.”

With the advent of electronic scorekeeping, there may not be as many people “keeping a card” these days, but it is still a popular and varied art enjoyed by many.   The beauty of handwritten scorecards is that it’s a blank canvas, and you can use whatever system, symbols or code you like.  No two scorecards emerge from the game the same.

We’d enjoy seeing your completed scorecards if you keep score to a game for the 2018 Jr. World.  Send us a copy of yours, to Jim [at] Ballpark Broadcasting.
